Bhopal/UNI: Even as the nation awaits the Supreme Court’s judgement in the Ayodhya case, the Madhya Pradesh Police is taking absolutely no chances – the law-enforcement machinery on Friday reiterated its commitment with regard to maintaining peace and added that foolproof arrangements are in place across all 52 districts.

Prohibitory orders were imposed in every district so sit-in, demonstrations, etc are quite simply out of the question.

A senior officer told UNI in the state capital that sensitive and hypersensitive areas were identified in addition to earmarking and monitoring individuals who may foment trouble.

Social media is under priority surveillance and any person who posts an objectionable message, photograph, etc shall attract the “severest” action.

“Field personnel and the intelligence machinery were directed to exercise heightened alertness. Higher-rung officers are ceaselessly keeping an eye on the situation.

Detailed guidelines were issued to deputy inspectors general of Bhopal and Indore besides district superintendents.

A search campaign is on vis-a-vis hotels, lodges, choultries, bus stands, railway stations and other public places. Vehicles shall be checked,” the officer said.
