Sydney, Mar 11 (IBNS) Hundreds of people hold a vigil in Australia's Parramatta Park in memory of Indian national Prabha Arun Kumar, who was stabbed to death by unidentified people, last week.

The attack occurred when she was speaking to her husband in India by phone.

"On Wednesday evening, hundreds braved the rain and severe thunderstorm warnings in Sydney to walk to the scene of Ms Kumar's death," abc.net.au reported.

Organiser Arunesh Seth was quoted as saying by abc.net.au: "We want to live in a non-violent society. We want to live in dignity."

Indian IT consultant Prabha Arun Kumar was 300 metres away from her home in Australia's Westmead area and was talking to her  husband Arun Kumar over phone when she was attacked at around 9:30 pm on Saturday, reports said.
