Assembly poll results: Close fight between BJP, Congress in MP

New Delhi, Dec 11 (IBNS): The trends of Madhya Pradesh assembly poll results are indicating a close fight between the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.

In Madhya Pradesh, though the Congress was earlier leading, now the BJP is ahead of its challenger marginally. The BJP is leading in 112 seats while the Congress in 108.

In Rajasthan, the Congress is leading in 95 seats while the BJP is ahead in 80 seats.

In Chhattisgarh, the Congress is leading in 61 seats as opposed to BJP's 19.

The results of two other states- Telangana and Mizoram- are also coming out on Tuesday.

The Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS) is set for a sweeping victory in Telangana as it is leading in 87 seats as opposed to Congress-led alliance's 21.

The Mizo National Front (MNF) is leading in Mizoram in 29 seats while the Congress in 6.
