Assam: Road mishap in Guwahati kills two, injures one

Guwahati, July 25 (IBNS): At least two people died and another sustained wounds, in a road mishap near Assam’s Kamrup (Metro) district on Tuesday night.

The incident happened after a truck and a Wagon-R car collided head on near Deepor Beel area under Azara police station, on the outskirts of Guwahati city.

The driver and another passenger in the car died on spot, while, the remaining passenger sustained severe injuries.

He was rushed to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Biswajit Rabha and Prativa Sangma.

Officer-in-Charge of Azara police station, Ashok Kumar Dutta, confirmed the incident.
