Assam Rifles conducts awareness lecture on child abuse in Kohima

Guwahati/IBNS: The Assam Rifles Kohima battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR(N) conducted an awareness lecture on Wednesday for the teachers from various schools of Kohima at Kohima Garrison under the theme ‘Child Abuse’.

The Assam Rifles officials covered the alarming rate at which Child Abuse is growing and how social media has given unhindered access to children and students to engage in the actions which have far reaching consequence hampering positive growth of a child from their tender age.

The lecture also covered the crucial role of parents and teachers in curbing rise of Child Abuse by way of constant communication with children and students about the sanctity of the body parts and the various forms of Child Abuse.

The lecture was followed by queries from the teachers in attendance and interaction. 65 teachers attended the lecture.
