Assam reports three more COVID-19 positive cases, Manipur reports fourth positive case

Guwahati/IBNS: Assam on Friday reported three more positive cases for COVID-19 taking the state tally to 89.

The new cases have been reported from Guwahati in Kamrup (Metro) district.

Confirming the reports, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that, one case has been detected at Sarusajai stadium quarantine camp, the second is an indoor patient of Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) and another has migrated to West Bengal.

“3 persons tested #COVID19 + in Kamrup Metro. One person is from Sarusajai Quarantine camp, 1 indoor patient of GMCH, & one has migrated to West Bengal. Total cases 89,” he tweeted.

89 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the state so far and out of them two COVID-19 patients were died and 41 others were discharged from hospitals.

The state has now 44 active COVID-19 positive cases.

On the other hand, one more COVID-19 positive case has been detected in Manipur and the state tally has increased to 4.

A 22-year-old girl who recently returned to the state tested positive for COVID-19 at JNIMS in Imphal.
