Assam: People of Baksa district, CRPF jawans remember martyrs of Pulwama terror attack

Guwahati/IBNS: Thousands of people of Assam’s Baksa district and CRPF jawans on Friday remembered the martyrs of Pulwama terror attack on the first anniversary and paid rich tributes the brave jawans who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Maneshwar Basumutary of Tamulpur area in Assam’s Baksa district was one the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans who were martyred in the terror attack in Pulwama in Jammau and Kashmir on February 14, 2019.

During a programme held at Goreswar in Baksa district, Inspector General of CRPF, Shillong Prakash D and others offered floral tributes to Late Maneshwar Basumutary.

Family members of the brave CRPF martyred jawan, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police of Baksa district and other top officials were also present on the occasion.

On the other hand, the top official of the central para military force inaugurated a RCC basketball court at Goreswar Higher Secondary school field under the CRPF civic action programme.

The 10th battalion of CRPF had built the basketball court under the civic action programme.
