Assam: Nine die of electrocution
According to reports, the incident took place at Pengeri area, when local people were protesting against a murder case.
The protesters electrocuted after a bullet hit an electric line which was fired by a security personnel.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to a nearest hospital where at least nine persons succumbed to their injuries.
Top police and local administration officials have rushed to the area.
More reports are awaited.
