Assam : Man kills his granddaughter for defecating in veranda

Guwahati, July 7 (IBNS): A shocking and inhuman incident happened in central Assam’s Nagaon district where a 3-year-old girl was hacked to death with a knife by her own grandfather for defecating in the veranda of her house. 

The incident took place at Dalimbari area under Amsoi police outpost in the central Assam district on Saturday morning at around 6-30 am.

According to the reports, the 3-year-old girl went outside the house and defecated in the veranda.

While the girl defecated in the veranda, her grandfather got angry and brought out a knife and attacked her.

The girl died on spot.

Father of the victim girl said that while his daughter defecated in the veranda, her grandfather attacked her by using a knife.

Meanwhile, police had arrested the man identified as Apurba Das and also recovered the weapon.

Amsoi police outpost I/C Amrit Konwar said the incident happened at Dalimbari area and police had already arrested the man who killed the girl.
