Assam : BSF apprehends Indian FICN racketeer along with Rs 30,000 FICN

Guwahati/IBNS: Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended one Indian FICN racketeer along with 30 thousand FICN (Fake Indian Currency Notes) on Thursday, from bordering areas of  Boreralga in Assam’s South Salmara district.

Acting on a tip-off, the troops of BOP Boreralga of 6 Bn BSF under BSF Guwahati Frontier carried out a joint search operation with Kharuabandha police in the house of Jahirul Islam.

During searching operation, the team had recovered suspected FICN Rs 30,000.

Joint operation party had also apprehended the FICN racketeer and later he has been handed over to Kharuabandha police station for further legal action.

BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all endeavours to contain such trans-border crimes.
