Arunachal Pradesh : NPP MLA and 10 others shot dead
Guwahati, May 21 (IBNS): Sitting National People's Party (NPP) MLA from Arunachal Pradesh’s Khonsa West Assembly constituency, Tirong Aboh, and six others were shot dead by suspected NSCN militants in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district on Tuesday.
According to the reports, the incident was took place near Bogapani area under the Khonsa circle of Tirap district.
Tirong Aboh and ten others were reportedly killed in the ambush allegedly laid by Naga outfit group NSCN.
Aboh's PSO is also said to be in a critical condition in the terror attack.
Suspected NSCN militants attacked Tirong Aboh and his convoy near Bogapani area at around 11 am.
Arunachal Pradesh police IGP Sunil Garg, suspected militants had attacked on Aboh and his convoy.
Meanwhile top police and other security forces officials have rushed to the area and launched massive hunt operation against the attackers.
It is to be mentioned that, Aboh contested the assembly elections on a National People’s Party (NPP) ticket this year.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya Chief Minister and NPP chief Conrad Sangma has condemned the attack and urged Prime Minister and Union Home minister to take action against those responsible for such attack.

“The NPP is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of the death of its MLA Shri Tirong Aboh (Arunachal Pradesh) and his family. We condemn the brutal attack and urge @rajnathsingh and @PMOIndia to take action against those responsible for such attack,” Conrad tweeted.
On March 29, a NPP supporter was allegedly beaten to death by miscreants at Kheti village in Tirap district during the election process.
