Army foils infiltration bid, kills 4 terrorists in Kashmir's Nowgam

Srinagar, Sept 11 (IBNS): The Indian Army on Sunday killed for terrorists in a counter-infiltration operation along the Line of Control in Nowgam sector in north Kashmir, media reports said.

The Army intercepted a group of heavily-armed terrorists who were trying to infiltrate the LoC when the encounter started.

During the encounter, four terrorists, believed to be Pakistanis, were killed.

The Army recovered four AK-47 rifles and a large cache of ammunition from the site of encounter.

According to reports, dozens of people were arrested after a joint team of security forces carried out raids at Karimabaf village in Pulwama district.

About 25 villagers were also injured during clashes with the forces.

The wounded villagers have been shifted to hospitals.
