Army Chief visits Gajraj Corps

Tezpur, Sept 6 (IBNS): General Dalbir Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff, visited the Gajraj Corps from Sept 5 to 6, as part of his visits to various formations of the Army, to review their operational readiness and the internal security situation.

He was accompanied by Lt General Praveen Bakshi, AVSM, VSM, ADC, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command.

During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed by Lt General D Anbu, AVSM, YSM, SM, GOC of the Gajraj Corps who updated him on the security situation in Assam.

The Chief of The Army Staff expressed his satisfaction on the conduct of operations by the Army in bringing the insurgency situation under control.

He also reviewed the defence preparedness of Gajraj Corps which is deployed on the line of Actual Control.
