Any death in Kashmir is a loss for us as a nation: PM Modi on Mann Ki Baat
Speaking to the country through his monthly radio address, Modi said: "Any life lost in Kashmir, be it that of a youth or of a security personnel, is a loss for us as a nation."
The PM said that like they gave their support to the much hyped Goods and and Services Tax Bill, all political parties also raised their concern on Kashmir in united voice.
"All parties united on Kashmir and raised their concern unanimously on the issue. All parties believe that Kashmir is an integral part of India," Modi said.
"They sent a message to the world, to the separatists and reached out to the people of Kashmir," said Modi.
Modi said that those people who are putting innocent young boys forward to get involved in Kashmir violence, will have to answer to these boys one day.
The PM on Monday met a delegation of leaders of the Opposition Parties from the State of J&K where he expressed deep concern and pain at the prevailing situation in the Valley.
The Kashmir Valley has been witnessing massive unrest since the death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani last month.
The death toll in the Valley touched 70 on Saturday.
Over 11,000 people, including 7,000 civilians and 4,000 security personnel, have been injured in the ongoing unrest.
