New Delhi/UNI: Amid the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests on Friday, the agitators showed an impressive, peaceful face of the agitation, by offering roses to Delhi Police PRO M S Randhawa and other senior police officers at Jama Masjid, here.

The agitators were also seen singing popular Urdu nazm written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz's 'Hum Dekhenge', while protesting against the CAA, which will grant Indian citizenships to religious minorities--Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Jain from neighbouring countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. On Thursday, too, protestors had offered flowers.

A massive protest took place outside the Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, wherein the Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad, who was had been denied the permission to hold protest at the Jama Masjid by the police, appeared from within the crowds.

Large number of people reached the Jama Masjid as police had lifted Section 144 restrictions in view of the Friday prayers.

People in large numbers were seen on the stairs of the Jama Masjid, around the boundary walls and inside the compound, while some also held placards and raised slogans against the CAA.

There have been protests happening since Sunday out of which incidents of violence took place in areas like Jamia and Seelampur due to which the police has tightened the security arrangements vigil all around the city, especially in the sensitive areas.
