Another relative of Haryana BJP chief accused of kidnapping a minor

Chandigarh, Aug 9 (IBNS) : As the dust flies thick over Varnika Kundu stalking case, Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala is in for more embarrassment with a minor girl has accused the leader's one of the close relatives of kidnapping her in May, 2017.

According to media reports, the girl from Fatehabad has filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court in this regard.

The girl has alleged that she had been forced to changing her statement with the police after the alleged crime committed  by Vikram   Barala, his nephew Kuldeep Barala and their  associates  despite the fact that "there is sufficient oral as well as medical evidence" against them.

Her charge came amid the controversy over the allegation of Varnika Kundu, a video jockey and the daughter of a Haryana IAS officer that Subhash Barala's son Vikas had stalked her in a car last week.

"Till date no action has been taken against the respondents because they are very influential people and close relative of MLA of the Tohana constituency (Subhash Barala). Hence, local police under their influence are not taking any action," the teen has pleaded in her petition.

It was alleged that the girl was illegally confined till midnight at Dhani Shera village in Tohana. The FIR of kidnapping was first registered on May eight  at Tohana police station.

The court on Wednesday  ordered the police to file a report by August 31.

The plea was filed on June 1 and the court had earlier sought a copy of her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.
