Another Kashmiri student choosing the path of militancy is hugely worrying: Omar Abdullah

| @indiablooms | Nov 03, 2018, at 04:54 pm

Srinagar, Nov 3 (IBNS): Amid reports that a Kashmiri student has allegedly joined militancy, ex-Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said such an incident was 'hugely worrying'.

Omar said another person was moving now towards the path of ruining himself.

"If this is genuine it’s hugely worrying. Sometimes seemingly small actions have huge consequences. If what happened to him at #ShardaUniversity has lead him to choose such a destructive path it’s even more tragic. One more life on the path to ruin & one more family in turmoil," Omar tweeted.

The person has been identified as Ahtesham Bilal Sofi.

He was a student of Greater Noida-based college.

He went missing for the past few days.

An image allegedly of Sofi has been making rounds on the social media where the missing student could be seen wearing a black attire and headgear and standing next to the ISIS flag.
