Anil Baijal appointed as Lt Governor of Delhi
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj confirmed the appointment by tweeting: "I welcome Shri #AnilBaijal as the Lt.Governor of Delhi."
The former IAS officer had served as the Union Home Secretary under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
He is a 1969 batch IAS officer.
The post of Lt Governor of Delhi had fallen vacant after the resignation of Najeeb Jung recently.
