Andhra Pradesh: One person held, 12 country-made bombs seized

Chittoor, Jul 28 (UNI) One person was arrested and twelve country made bombs were seized in Santhipuram mandal of Kuppam constituency in this district on Sunday.
 

The accused was identified as Krishnappa, belonging to Gattur village.


According to police, with the reliable information from the villagers, they raided a houseGattur village of Sivaramapuram Panchayat and found 12 country made bombs hiding in the house.


During the preliminary investigation, he said that those bombs were kept for safeguarding the crops from wild animals.


But, the police were investiging whether the accused made the bombs himself or he purchased it from somebody else.


A case has been registered under relevant sections and investigation was underway, police added.
