Amit Shah inaugurates MODIFEST in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, June 9 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on the second day of his state visit, inaugurated the MODIFEST (Making of Developed India Fest) in Chhattisgarh, on Friday.

Shah, who has been busy in touring different states of the country to strengthen the party's organisation of late, is presently in Chhattisgarh for the similar purpose.

The festival highlights various people-oriented flagship programmes of the Union Government.

Authorities claimed that the festival will help the common people to become aware of various beneficial schemes including Jan Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, PM Ujjala Yojana and so on.

Shah was accompanied by Chief Minister of the state, Raman Singh, on Friday.

He had already toured the state of West Bengal, Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir, prior to his visit to Chhattisgarh.

The BJP President was received by Chief Minister of the state, Raman Singh, on Thursday morning.

Singh even welcomed Shah on Twitter, to which the latter said: "Thank you CM @drramansingh ji for your warm welcome. It is always special to be in Chhattisgarh, one of the fastest growing state in India."

The BJP ruled state will go for the assembly polls in 2018, a year prior to the next Lok Sabha election.
