Mumbai/IBNS: Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has rubbished reports that linked his absence from Monday's swearing-in ceremony of ministers as part of the first cabinet expansion of Chief Minister Udhav Thackeray's government with his brother not making the cut.

Rejecting the reports that hinted dissatisfaction, Raut said he and his family are loyal to the Thackerays, an NDTV report said.

The senior Sena leader had played a pivotal role in stitching the alliance between Shiv Sena and NCP, which later pursuaded the Congress to join in.

Asked if he is unhappy on his brother being ignored, he said there are able people in all the three parties and the berth allocation was done based on the quota each party has in the tri-party alliance government, and has to be accepted accordingly.

Raut said he is happy that Udhav Thackeray is the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and his family has always believed in giving to the party.

He mainatained that his brother Sunil had never demanded a ministerial berth, and people are only spreading rumours.

He said his family is always with Shiv Sena and loyal to the Thackerays.
