The conglomerate's chief Gautam Adani also met Israel President Benjamin Netanyahu during the event.

He tweeted: " Privileged to meet with @IsraeliPM@netanyahuon this momentous day as the Port of Haifa is handed over to the Adani Group. The Abraham Accord will be a game changer for the Mediterranean sea logistics. Adani Gadot set to transform Haifa Port into a landmark for all to admire."

" Another success story of India -Israel partnership. In a ceremony attended by PM @netanyahu, Minister@regev_miriand@gautam_adani, the ownership of Israel’s second largest port was transferred to Adani-Gadot group," tweeted the Embassy.
