Actress attacked in Chhattisgarh, accused at large

Bhilai Nagar/UNI: A Chhattisgarhi film actress, Maya Sahu, on Saturday was attacked in broad daylight near her house by some bike-borne youth in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.

The attackers escaped immediately after attacking the actress.

According to information gathered from police, the actress Sahu was on way to meet her friend in the afternoon. In the meantime two bike-borne youth  her hit on her head from behind and poured some inflammable substance on her and then fled. Maya Sahu was immediately rushed to Government Hospital Supela by her relative.

According to doctors, the actress has been found to have some minor injury marks behind her head.

Police suspected that attackers and Maya knew each other. Police said that investigation had been started to know the cause behind the incident. The accused are said to be at large. Maya plays the lead actress in the film 'Love Deewana' which was released recently.
