Abbott thanks Modi over phone for the warm reception in India
New Delhi, Sept 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke to Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott over the telephone at the request of the Australian side.
Abbott thanked the PM for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him during his recent visit to India.
Modi said that during his visit, Prime Minister Abbott had touched the heart of every Indian.
The visit had resulted in concrete outcomes and added new dimensions to the strategic partnership between India and Australia, said the Indian PM.
Both Prime Ministers agreed to actively follow up the decisions reached in the summit.
Abbott conveyed that a warm welcome awaits Modi for his bilateral visit to Australia in November 2014 after the G-20 Summit.
Abbott conveyed sympathy and solidarity in connection with the floods in Jammu & Kashmir.
Both Prime Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
