AAP to pass resolution against centre's notification
Reports said the private member’s resolution will be moved by MLA Somnath Bharti with a few amendments.
The Union Home Ministry recently issued a notification that also clipped the wings of the city-state’s anti-corruption department.
Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday had moved a resolution in the assembly against the central notification.
“Democratic spirit of the Constitution was sidelined while issuing this notification. It undermines the Constitution,” Sisodia said on the first day of two day emergency assembly session.
The AAP has also appealed to the President to invoke article 143 to define the powers and responsibilities of an elected government.
