New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI): Ahead of the forthcoming elections to seven parliamentary seats in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday released it's manifesto promising "full statehood" for Delhi.

The 38-page manifesto was released by the Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in presence of party's senior leaders including deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.

"AAP is fighting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Delhi with the sole objective of making Delhi a full state. Through the voice of all our seven Lok Sabha MPs from Delhi, our Lok Sabha MPs from other states and our three Rajya Sabha MPs, the party will fight from Parliament to streets to secure full statehood for Delhi," the party manifesto reads.

AAP, which is presently ruling the national capital also pledged that it will join hands with other political parties who are emotionally attached with Delhiites to accelerate the process.

"Yein chunao kisi ko PM banane ke liye nahi, Delhi ko purnrajya banane ke liye hein. Kuch bhi karenge, Delhi ko purnrajya banakar rahenge (This election is not for electing a Prime Minister, but to make Delhi a state. We will do everything to give Delhi Statehood)," Mr Kejriwal told media here after releasing the manifesto.

Stating the benefits of full statehood, AAP convenor said: "If Delhi gets full statehood, police will be held accountable to the public, women safety will improve, and 85 per cent students will get into colleges."
