AAP legislator Amanatullah Khan arrested on Wednesday

New Delhi, Sep 21 (IBNS): The Delhi police arrested Aam Aadmi Party legislator Amanatullah Khan on alleged sexual harassment charges, according to media reports.

Khan's sister in law had filed a case of sexual harassment against him on Sep 10 at Delhi's Jamia Nagar Police station.

According to media reports, Amanatullah Khan had visited the police station earlier in the week and wanted to surrender but the police refused to do so.

Later Khan claimed that the police did not arrest him due to public pressure, media reported.

However, Khan tweeted on Wednesday, "Came here at @DCP OFFICE sarita Vihar for general discussion.but they arrested me  #Delhi Police."
