Nalanda, Apr 14 (IBNS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Bihar's Nalanda, Pranav Prakash, has alleged that a group of around 25 unknown assailants beat him up with iron rods while he was campaigning for his party at Udarfu on Sunday.

"There were at least 25 of them. They stopped my car by firing at it, smashed the windows, dragged me out and hit me on my mouth with a pistol. They beat me up with iron rods and sticks on arms, legs and head," said Prakash.

He is presently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Polling in Nalanda will be held on Apr 17
