8 die in passenger train derailment in Maharashtra
Raigad, May 4 (IBNS): At least eight people were killed and several others suffered injuries after the engine and four bogies of Diva-Sawantwadi Express train derailed near Nagothane in Raigad district of Maharashtra on Sunday, latest reports said.
The engine and four coaches of the train derailed at about 10 am.
According to reports, the incident occurred in a tunnel near Nidi village.
Meanwhile, the injured have been taken to a local hospital.
A relief train has been dispatched by the Central Railways.
