Chandigarh, Dec 10 (IBNS): A six-year-old girl was sexually abused and then murdered in the suburban town of Uklana in Haryana's Hisar district on Saturday, media reports said on Sunday.

The girl, who is a Dalit, lived in a roadside tent-like structure with her family.

The girl, who belonged to the Sapera Community, had two siblings.

Her body was recovered at some distance from the place where the family stayed.

According to her mother the girl went to sleep with her siblings around 9 pm on Friday night.

Their father, who is a rag-picker, was away in Delhi, reports said.

Her mother raised an alarm when she couldn't find the girl on Saturday morning. Following the same, search operation was launched

"The unidentified murderer had inserted a wooden stick in her body, which was clearly visible when the body was found. Her body parts were badly brutalized and blood was spilled all over," The Times of India reported.
