3.9-magnitude earthquake rocks Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar/UNI: An earthquake of low intensity jolted parts of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officials said.

The magnitude of the earthquake was measured on the Richter scale 3.9 with the epicenter at latitude 34.42 and longitude 74.88 in Jammu and Kashmir.

The tremors were felt for a few seconds.

The tremors were felt at 06.57 am with the 38 km depth in north of Srinagar.

There was no report of loss of life or damage to property.
