16 security personnel killed in Maoist attack in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli
Gadchiroli, May 1 (IBNS): Sixteen security personnel were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast carried out by Maoists in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli on Wednesday, media reports said.
The explosion has been carried out weeks after an IED blast took place near a polling booth in Gadchiroli on Apr 11 when the country was voting in the first phase of General Elections.
Earlier on Wednesday, Maoists had set 27 machines and vehicles on fire in the same district.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Strongly condemn the despicable attack on our security personnel in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. I salute all the brave personnel.
