He held wide-ranging talks and sealed three significant deals with India. Significantly, Dahal stated, on September 17, 2016, "We will not allow any activity that is against our neighbouring countries from our soil." During his previous innings as Prime Minister, Dahal chose to put relations with China on fast track.
