Building collapses in Gujarat's Surat, 15 injured, some feared trapped

Surat/IBNS: A six-storey building collapsed in Gujarat's Surat on Saturday injuring several and trapping a few, according to initial reports pouring in.

According to Gujarat Samachar, at least 15 people have been injured and five people are feared trapped under the debris in the collapse in Surat's Sachin GIDC area's Pali village.

The six-storey building was in a dilapidated condition.

Fire and police teams have rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation from the collapsed building.

According to an India Today report, the building was home to a family who were living there as tenants.
