In a horrifying incident, a 21-year-old woman was murdered by her husband by slitting her throat at NTR Colony, Champapet in Hyderabad on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Swapana, originally hailed from Hanwada Thanda in Mahabubnagar.

Just one month ago, she tied the knot with Prem Kumar from Maheshwaram in Ranga Reddy district.

The couple had been residing in a rented house in NTR Colony, Champapet.

The tragic incident occurred when Prem Kumar spotted Swapana's former boyfriend, Sathish, with his wife in their home.

This discovery led to a heated argument between Prem Kumar and Sathish. In the midst of the dispute, Prem Kumar attacked his wife with a knife, fatally slitting her throat. Enraged, Sathish forcibly ejected Prem Kumar from the building and fled the scene.

The homeowner, upon discovering Prem Kumar unconscious on the ground and Swapana in a pool of blood, informed the police.

The police registered a case and transferred Prem Kumar to Osmania Hospital for treatment.

Further investigation is underway.
