Former President Ram Nath Kovind on two-days visit to Aurangabad

Former President Ram Nath Kovind arrives at Chikalthana airport in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for a two-day visit here on Saturday morning.

Divisional Commissioner Madhukarraje Ardad and Collector Astik Kumar Pandey welcomed them.

On this occasion, senior officials of the administration as well as officers and employees of the Airport Authority were present.

Former President Kovid will inaugurate the entrance gate of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) and also honour honorees of the Padma Award this evening at BAMU's auditorium under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pramod Yeole.

Padma Bhushan Dr. Ashok Kukde and Padmashri Dr. UM Pathan, Dr. Prabhakar Mande, Dadasaheb Idate, Ramesh Patange, Girish Pramune, Shabbir Syed, N.D. Mahanor, and agriculturist Srirang Deuba Lad will be honoured on this occasion.

Also, late Padmashri Fatema Zakaria and Padmashri Dr. Gangadhar Pantawane will be honoured posthumously, and their families will accept this honour.
