Mizoram: Aasha Malviya's pan India cycle tour promotes women's safety and empowerment

Aizawal/Mizoram: Aasha Malviya, a courageous solo cyclist undertaking a Pan India Cycle Tour, met with Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan on Friday evening.

During the meeting, Malviya emphasized that her primary objective is to raise awareness about women's safety, empowerment, and foster peace and harmony among various sections of society across the country, reported Northeast Now.

Governor Dr. Kambhampati commended Malviya for her brave mission, which she personally funds, and expressed a hope that her initiative would generate a positive impact by increasing awareness about the safety and empowerment of women in India.

He also expressed his wish that the message she carries would serve as a blessing for the people she encounters along her path.

Hailing from Nataram in the Rajghar District of Madhya Pradesh, Aasha Malviya embarked on her Pan India Cycle Tour on November 1, 2022. With her arrival in Aizawl, Mizoram, after a 288 km journey from Haflong, Assam, she has now covered a remarkable total of 16,200 km.

Her ambitious tour will conclude on August 15 of this year in New Delhi.

Malviya's extraordinary expedition aims to instill a sense of brotherhood, togetherness, peace, and harmony among different sections of society, while shining a spotlight on the pressing need for women's safety and empowerment in India.
