Shillong: Meghalaya-based terror outfit Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) has been regrouping and over 500 youth have been recruited and sent for training in Nagaland and Myanmar, a leaked intelligence report noted.

According to the report, there are inputs that the GNLA which has remained dormant for several years is “regrouping.”

The report states that the GNLA has been holding meetings in several places such as Jadi, Nongal, Chalang, and other places to lure youths into the terror outfit.

The report further states that some “big shots and prominent businessmen” who are associated with the GNLA are aiding the terror outfit to regroup.

The Intel report, therefore, asked the district police of West Garo Hills district to be on the alert.
