Hyderabad: Union Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) G Kishan Reddy on Sunday said breast milk is like nectar (Amrutham).

Speaking as the chief guest at the "Healthy Baby Show" held at Multipurpose Sports Complex, Sanathnagar, here, Reddy explained the importance of breast milk for infants.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ordered the conduct of Healthy Baby Shows in every parliamentary constituency.

The Union Minister stated that mothers are raising their children with a competitive spirit, which is a positive development.

While some mothers opt to give their children milk substitutes, breast milk is optimal for infants as it enhances their immunity and promotes long-term health.

Kishan Reddy emphasized that the government and society are promoting breastfeeding through this program.

The Healthy Baby Show certificate will be a lasting reminder of the benefits of breastfeeding for children.

The Healthy Baby Show features infants in the age group of three to thirteen months.
