New Delhi/UNI: A meeting of Opposition parties was held here on Thursday over the Adani issue.

Among the parties, AAP, SP, NCP and RJD attended the meeting which was held at the office of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in the Parliament House building.

"The Modi government does not want to investigate the Adani scam. Today, a meeting of Opposition parties was held in the chamber of Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge regarding Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in this regard," the Congress wrote in a tweet shortly after the meeting.

Several Opposition parties including Congress have been demanding a JPC into the Hindenburg Research report over Adani Group.

The report alleged that Adani Group had engaged in stock manipulation and accounting fraud schemes over the course of decades.
