Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde declared as Chief Leader of Shiv Sena

New Delhi: After the Election Commission recognized Eknath Shinde faction as the real Shiv Sena and allowed them to use bow and arrow symbol, the Maharashtra Chief Minister was officially declared as the ‘chief leader’ of the party in the first national executive meeting which was held in Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

The meeting was held under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

"We accept him as the leader of Shiv Sena," said Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant.

Minister Dada Bhuse has been appointed as the head of the party's disciplinary committee, while Shambhuraj Desai and Sanjay More have been appointed as members.

It was also decided to appoint Siddhesh Kadam as party secretary in this meeting.

The post of Party Chief and Working President has been abolished in Shiv Sena.

"It was decided that those who work against the party will have to face the disciplinary committee," he said.

During the meeting, a resolution was passed where it was stated that Indian freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar should be awarded Bharat Ratna, 80 percent jobs should be given to locals in the state, names of Veermata Ahilyabai Holkar, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje should be included in the list of national heroes.

It also included that Marathi language should be given the status of classical language,

"Churchgate station in Mumbai should be named after Chintamanrao Deshmukh," he added.
