New Delhi/IBNS: Sikh for Justice (SJF) terrorist Gurupatwant Singh Pannu has threatened to execute an attack during India's 73rd Republic Day on January 26, media reports said.

In a video posted on social media, he threatened to “liberate Punjab from Indian occupation in 2023”.

“Stay indoors on January 26, or you’ll be thwarted by the SJF. Delhi will be our target, and we will unfurl the flag of Khalistan,” said Pannu.

He also announced a 5,00,000 dollars reward to anyone who unfurls Khalistan’s flag on the Red Fort.

After the threat video emerged, lawyer Vineet Jindal filed a case against SJF and Pannu, India Today reported.

“I was shocked to see that these accounts [read social media accounts] indulge in anti-national activities and shared a recent video of Grupatwant singh Pannu of Sikh for justice who extended threat of RDX attack in Delhi on 26th Jan'2023,” said Vineet Jindal in a statement.

“We all know that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is a declared terrorist in India and SJF is a banned terrorist organisation that indulges in anti-national activities. I am requesting you to lodge FIR Against Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and SFJ for extending threats to kill residents of Delhi,” he further wrote.

Several cases have been lodged against Pannu in India pertaining to anti-India activities.

Last year, Punjab Police booked Pannu on charges of spreading hatred and enmity among communities and conspiring to disturb harmony in the country, specifically Punjab.

Delhi Police had said that it has increased patrolling and vigilance throughout the capital city. Various anti-terror measures have been taken ahead of Republic Day celebrations.

The police have also requested people to stay careful and report anything suspicious.
