Himachal: Three-day assembly session to begins today

Dharamshala/UNI: The three-day assembly session of Himachal Pradesh began at Tapovan in Dharamshala on Wednesday.

The protem speaker Prof. Chander Kumar first took the seat and greeted the newly elected members of the legislative Assembly on their being elected to the assembly and on the New year 2023.

Even before starting the oath taking ceremony, former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur raised the issue of the denotification of different institutions and said that it was the first time in the history of Himachal Pradesh that such action of denotification was taken and has never been done by any government so far.

It resulted in shouting from the treasury benches and both members of opposition and treasury benches started shouting at each other.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was seen asking the members of the treasury benches to be calm.

It was following the intervention the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Suku who asked the members to be calm and after the taking the oath the opposition can raise the issue as per norms and the oath taking ceremony started by the protem speaker and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Suku, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri followed by the leader of the opposition Jairam Thakur were invited to take the oath and followed by other members.
