New Delhi/IBNS: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is "conspiring to kill" Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is an arch-rival of the saffron camp.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has accused BJP MP Manoj Tiwari of being involved in the conspiracy.

Sisodia tweeted, "Due to the fear of losing Gujarat and MCD, the BJP is conspiring to murder Arvind Kejriwal ji.

"This entire conspiracy should be investigated by arresting and taking strict action against Manoj Tiwari, who openly threatened to kill the Chief Minister of Delhi."

Sisodia said this in response to Tiwari's tweet where he expressed his concern for Kejriwal's security amid alleged corruption allegations in the civic polls of Delhi.

"I am concerned about the security of Arvind Kejriwal because people and AAP volunteers are angry over sustained corruption, selling of tickets (for the MCD polls), friendship with rapists and massage in jail incidents.

"Their MLAs too have been thrashed. It should not happen with the chief minister of Delhi," Tiwari had tweeted.

The AAP, which is aggressively campaigning in Gujarat, is aiming to uninstall the 27-year-old BJP government in the upcoming polls scheduled to be held on Dec 1 and 5.
