Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari should be ousted for Chhatrapati Shivaji remark: BJP MP
Mumbai/UNI: Chhatrapati Udayanraje Bhosale, the 13th direct descendant of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and a Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha member, on Monday alleged that Governor B S Koshyari is "third class" and he should be sent to an old age home.
Reacting to Koshyari’s statement that Chhatrapati Shivaji has become an old idea now, Udayanraje also slammed BJP spokesperson Sudhansu Trivedi for his remarks that Shivaji had apologized to Aurangzeb five times.
"Perversion has no party, no caste. The parties should throw out such perverted people. The Governor should be pulled down first and thrown somewhere far away. I will decide my next course of action soon," said Udayanaraje.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition Ambadas Danve, who belongs to the Thackeray camp, has claimed that BJP is behind Governor Koshyari's statement.
"Koshyari consistently makes offensive statements about great leaders and tries to insult Maharashtra," he said.
