By moving industries out of Maharashtra, PM Modi took away jobs of youth: Rahul Gandhi

Nanded/UNI: Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi Wednesday made a strong attack on Narendra Modi claiming that the Prime Minister has taken away the investment of lakhs of crores of rupees from Maharashtra and the jobs of the youths.

Gandhi said that he started this padayatra two months ago and reached Maharashtra three days back.

"I am thankful to you for participating in this padayatra in large numbers during summer and winter. I have listened to the problems of farmers, youth, and women and I learn a lot from them.

"There is a difference between walking on the road and walking in a car. If you want to understand India, you have to walk on the streets," he said.

Slamming the government over demonetisation and GST, the Congres leader said: "The effect of demonetisation six years ago is now visible. Demonetization and GST created a tsunami on the country's economy resulting in the country's economy being crippled."

He said government enterprises are being sold to private entrepreneurs.

"There are no government jobs. Due to this, unemployment has increased. Petrol, diesel, and cylinder gas became expensive. Inflation on the one hand and unemployment on the other has increased tremendously," he said.

Gandhi accused the PM Modi government of not listening to the voice of the people.

"As soon as one starts to speak in Parliament, the mic is switched off. The youth of the country is trying to join the army and serve the country, but Narendra Modi has turned it upside down by making arrangements to serve only for four years and stay at home," the Congress MP added.
