Gurugram: A new CCTV footage, showing Sonal Phogat being forced to drink on the dance floor, emerged on Saturday, a day after another clip had revealed that the deceased BJP leader staggered on her way out of a Goa nightclub.

In the video, one of her aides and an accused in her murder, Sudhir Sagwan can be seen forcing a drink down her throat, media reports said, adding that the drink was spiked.

Sonali can also be seen trying to stop Sudhir, but fails to do so apparently owing to her inebriated state.

Earlier, her associates Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh were arrested by the police over her alleged murder after an autopsy report showed she suffered blunt force injuries.

Police had referred to this clip when they said that they had footage showing Sudhir Sangwan making Sonali Phogat forcibly drink "some substance", reported NDTV.

"CCTV recordings of relevant premises were examined by the Investigating Officer, and it was found that Sudhir was forcefully making Sonali to drink the alleged liquid in a water bottle," a police statement read.

The police on Saturday arrested two more people in a drugs case that has been registered following the 42-year-old BJP leader's death, it added.

Police have said that the accused took her to the hotel, Grand Leonny, where they were staying, hours before she died.

Sonali Phogat was brought dead on August 23 to the St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna in North Goa at around 9 am in morning.

Her family questioned the initial reports that said she died of cardiac arrest and agreed to the autopsy after police filed a murder case.

Police have said the exact cause of her death could be ascertained only after the chemical analysis of viscera and other tests.

The viscera would be examined at a state facility in Chandigarh too, besides in Goa, as per the family's demand, said the report.

On Thursday, Haryana Chief Minister Khattar said he is open to handing the case over to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
