Jaipur/IBNS: A Hindu tailor in Rajasthan's Udaipur was on Tuesday beheaded for expressing support for suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nupur Sharma. The murder was filmed by his killers and the situation sparked massive tension in the city.

The police have arrested two men- attackers Gos Mohammad and Riyaz- in connection with the case.

Two men entered the victim-Kanhaiya Lal's shop at a crowded market in Udaipur in the afternoon and attacked him with a knife.

A video filmed by them showed Kanhaiya Lal measuring one of the men before he was attacked.
The killers were then seen gloating on camera about the murder and also threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Kanhaiya Lal had expressed support on social media for the former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, who triggered a huge controversy and nationwide protests with her provocative comments on Prophet Mohammed.
Senior police officer Hawasingh Ghumaria, the Additional Director of law and order, earlier in the evening told reporters that arrests will be made soon and that they have been ordered "not to spare anyone".

Ghumaria also asked the media not to broadcast the video owing to its highly inflammatory content.
Meanwhile, a curfew has been imposed in several parts of the city banning large gatherings.
Internet services have also been suspended with around 600 cops being called in to tackle the situation.
Calling the situation "painful" and "shameful", Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed for peace.
"Strict action will be taken against all the criminals involved in this incident and the police will get to the bottom of it. I appeal to all parties to maintain peace," Gehlot said.

"I appeal to everyone not to spoil the atmosphere by sharing the video of this incident. By sharing the video, the criminal's purpose of spreading hatred in the society will be successful," he added.
