Himachal Pradesh tightens security over pro-Khalistani graffiti
Shima: A day after Khalistsni flags were put up on the gates of Vidhan Sabha complex in Dharamshala, Himachal Police on Monday beefed up the security in the border areas.
State Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, talking to reporters here, said state police beefed up security along the porous borders of neighbour states-- Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, J&K, Ladakh-- to check pro-Khalistsni activities in the hilly state.
He said SIT has been formed to investigate the matter and an FIR also filed under various sections of the IPC and Unlawful Prevention Activity Act (UPAA).
The CM said they the state has not sought any assistance from the central agencies in connection with the matter.
