BSF highlights achievements of April '14

Kolkata, May 2 (IBNS): The Border Security Force (BSF) deployed in South Bengal frontier on Indo-Bangladesh border, on Friday noted that the troops have crossed many milestones in operational front during the month of April 2014, here.

The BSF recently seized 34781 bottles of Phensedyl a/v Rs.30,39,879 in the border area under police station - Bongaon, Bashirhat, Swaroopnagar, Bagdah and Gaighata in district 24 Parganas (North).

Also the BSF recovered the bottles of  Phensedyl  under  police station - Hanskhali, Tehatta, Chhapra, Krishnaganj in District – Nadia; police station - Jalangi, Raninagar in District - Nadia and Bhagwangola in District - Murshidabad and Kaliachak, Raghunathganj, Baishnavnagar and Shamsherganj in District - Malda.

Moreover, BSF also seized 354.35 Kgs of ‘Ganja’ in the border area under police station - Marutia, police station - Hogalberia and police station - Krishnaganj in District - Nadia and police station - Swaroopnagar and police station - Bagdah in District – North 24 Parganas.

The BSF seized  4050.28 grams of  Gold worth approx Rs.1, 14,97,544  in the border area under police station - Swaroopnagar, police station - Bagdah and police station - Bangaon  in District - North 24 Pgs.

Also, the troops of BSF seized Rs 2,56,500 of  FICN in the border area under police station - Farakka and police station - Kaliachak in District - Malda. 

Besides the above, BSF troops deployed under South Bengal Frontier have seized other contraband items and cattle worth Rs. 3,94,01,414 and apprehended 248 Bangladeshi illegal migrants during the month of April  2014.
